My last Inasal meal was at Bacolod Chk-N-BBQ House. And here I am again, trying out another Inasal House. This time I went to Ortigas to visit Jay-J's Chicken Inasal.

Kangkong with Litson- Php165.00 (good for 2)
Jay-J's Chicken Inasal was also good (unlike Mang Inasal. I still can't figure out why they're claiming to serve Chicken Inasal when you can't trace any Inasal taste. They should change their name to Mang BBQ instead.) plus the servings of their other dishes were always good for 2. Very tipid.
Now let's compute: 1 Hita Meal + 1 Pecho Meal + 2 Extra Rice (Php29.00/each) + Molo + Kangkong w/ Litson...
The cost? ...Php568.00. And that's good for 4 people.
Solb.

Oh my goodness! I wish I can taste that inasal! To be honest I don't know how it tastes. Sure looks bbq'ed to me. Wonderfully served on banana leaf, truly exotic. salivating now*
I want some turon too =)

Hi Thess, before putting the chicken on the grill, the chicken has to be marinated first (for an hour) in garlic, ginger, native vinegar, calamansi, lemongrass, rock salt, cracked black pepper. Then while grilling the chicken, you have to always rub it with the vegetable oil + achuete basting. I made my own Chicken Inasal version last year and it was a hit! But I still like scouring the streets of the metro for some good Chicken Inasal. :-)

i used to like inasal, but right now i have this unexplained aversion to eating chicken cooked any way except deep fried. (which means i can only go for mcdo or jollibee or kfc's).
but chicken skin is good though :) btw, since you were in the ortigas/jay-j's area, maybe you could visit my friend's bar, The Alley, sometime (it's beside V58 bar near jay-jay's also). i did a feature on their menu before and not just because im friends with the owners that's why im promoting, but because the food is really cheap and it tastes good.
yun lang :)

Hi Iris, sure, I'll find the time to visit The Alley. :-)
What type of food/cuisine are they serving, by the way?
