Whenever I go to Tiendesitas in Pasig, I'm always overwhelmed by the rows of stalls offering different Filipino dishes. I'd often have a hard time selecting which stall to buy lunch or dinner from. So, to ease that burden, I asked my friend to just recommend a food stall where we can buy our dinner. My friend brought me to Bonnie's BBQ Grill.
The pork barbeque was tender and succulent, however, the basting lacked that certain "zing" that will differentiate their barbeque from the rest of their competitors. Between Bonnie's and Ineng's, I like the latter more. Ineng's barbeques are more meaty and more flavorful plus their basting has this sweet and tangy taste to it. But I wouldn't mind eating at Bonnie's again. *smile*
Now let's compute: 4 sticks of pork barbeque + 2 rice (Php20.00/each) + ensaladang talong + Coke Zero in can (Php30.00/each)...
The cost? ...Php300.00. And that's good for 2 people.
sakto.

the ensaladang talong looks more like ensaladang kamatis.. there are more tomatoes than eggplant

btw, have you tried heaven's bbq yet?
they have a branch in malugay st, makati; beside the badminton court and also along libis, beside anotnio's hairdressers, across from shopwise.
and now they have a new outlet on elizalde st, in bf homes, pque.
sarap din, not as meaty as ineng's but still worth it.

Hi Hiro, I actually wasn't very happy with the Ensaladang Talong because the serving size was too small. I think they only used half an eggplant or maybe a tiny eggplant in the salad. Good thing, their barbeques are quite good so it took my mind off the tiny serving of the eggplant salad.

Hi Boojong, 'yan nga rin ang sabi sa akin. Dun daw kayo palagi bumibili ng barbeque. Saan yung Bonnano's? Type ko rin ang Chicharon Bulaklak kung hindi mo naitatanong. :-)

@teepeed meals - Bonnano's is located beside the the stall of the famous Vigan okoy and empanada ba yun? It is between that Famous Vigan cherfer and Express. parang na-gets mo ung pinagsasabi ko eh anoh? mwahhaahahhaah. Across Sisigland siya, ayan - kuha mo na yan! Their C. Bulaklak is only P95 compared to the others doon na P140-P180.
